Taylor Updike was one of the unlucky OSR researchers not to have been killed in the Ahnenerbe raid on the Long Sun base. Instead, he found himself one of Reichmann’s ‘patients’. Somehow surviving the Doktor’s procedures, his body assimilated the Elder Thing fluids Reichmann injected. These tinctures caused profound cerebral and neurological changes, granting Updike strange powers.
